Head coach of the U-20 Reggae Boyz, Jerome Waite, says he believes the team has the quality to bounce back from the humiliating 9-nil loss against the United States when they face Costa Rica today in the CONCACAF Men's U-20 Championship.
Waite says today's game against Costa Rica will decide their fate as a defeat will all but certainly eliminate Jamaica from contention.
“It is also a learning process and a work in progress. We'll have to sit down and talk to these boys and try to get back into the right frame of mind leading up to the second game,” he says.
“It's a do-or-die situation and let them understand what it entails to go out there and make this turning point," he adds.
Jamaica are rooted at the foot of the table on zero points while Costa Rica are tied second on one point after their 1-1 draw with Cuba.
Kick off is set for 6 p.m. at the Estadio Miguel Alemán Valdés.
