Warner Brown bags brace as Jamaica take group honours

A brace from Warner Brown and a lone strike from Jonathan Russell saw Jamaica ending their second round of Concacaf World Cup Qualifiers atop Group E as they downed Guatemala 3-0 earlier tonight at the National Stadium.

Russell opened the scoring for the Boyz in the 26th minute before Brown confirmed all three points with strikes in the 37th and 73rd minutes of play.

The result means Jamaica finished atop Group E with a perfect record of four wins and 12 points, while Guatemala finishes second on nine.

Both teams will advance to the third round of the World Cup Qualifiers with the group draw set to be held on Thursday.
