Parts of North-East Trinidad will have their water supply disrupted this week, as the Water and Sewerage Authority replaces a defective 24-inch valve at the corner of O’Meara Road and the Priority Bus Route in Arima.
According to an advisory from WASA, the works are being undertaken from 10:00 pm on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) to 6:00 am on Thursday (February 13, 2025).
Customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the Hollis Water Treatment Plant will be most affected.
The impacted areas will include:
Town of Arima (all areas South of Broadway inclusive of Lawrence Park)
O’Meara Road (from Churchill Roosevelt Highway to Sierra Vista Street)
Samaroo Village Christina Gardens
Leotaud Lands Darwill Gardens
Galaxy Gardens/Boys Lane Mausica Road
La Resource Time Haven Development
Bregon Park Cleaver Road
Bon Air Gardens Parts of Arouca
KP Lands, Valencia Chickland, Wallerfield
WASA noes that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules, following the completion of these repairs.
In addition, a limited truck borne service will be available upon request, using:
● WASA Services App, which can be downloaded from the Play Store for Android mobile customers, or from the Apple store for iPhone mobile customers.
● Customer Portal on the Authority’s website at www.wasa.gov.tt.
● WASA’s Customer Call Centre with all calls toll free at 800-4420 and 800-4426.
