We Art Gallery Showcases Punta Gorda’s Local Creative Talent

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: We Art Gallery Museum continues to showcase locally produced artwork and sculpture to inhabitants and visitors to Punta Gorda. At the location, Love News caught up with co-owners Dr Ludwig Palacio and Curlette Ramclam Palacio.

Curlette Ramclam Palacio, Co Owner, WE ART GALLERY: “We Art Gallery the name “We” speaks for itself. We are a family of artists. We are a mixed marriage. Our children are all artists and by extension their friends also come around. So they are also art ambassadors here in Punta Gorda where we are located.”

Dr. Ludwig Palacio, Co Owner, WE ART GALLERY: “We have a piece here entitled Intertwined which basically was made using twines and it’s a symbolism of how we can come together as one people, one nation, one earth, one common human destiny. So this piece is the precise embodiment of that and that’s precisely what we try to do at the We Art Gallery Museum to continue promote multiculturalism, peace, prosperity. We have had people that have come from literally all over the world to visit us ever since we opened on March 5, 2011 and we are grateful, we are thankful for all those who come and also very thankful for people who have purchased pieces from the We Art Gallery Museum.”

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: What could they expect to see in a nutshell?

Dr. Ludwig Palacio, Co Owner, WE ART GALLERY: “A variety of art, culture, history. There is the Garifuna Room where I also explain and share the history of the Garifuna people ever since their expulsion from St. Vincent and through Central America to Belize. So those important elements of our culture are also shared with the people who come to visit the visitors, the guests.”

Paul Mahung, Toledo Correspondent: Both co-owners commented that We Art Gallery Museum promotes creativity of the artists and appreciation of beauty and human expression as depicted in the locally produced art and sculpture pieces on display. Paul Mahung Love News, Toledo.
