The final leg of the regional championships in the Insports/Devon Biscuits National Primary Schools Athletics Series begins today with action in the three day Western Championship at St. Elizabeth Tech starting at 8.30am.
The top eight schools from the championships will qualify for the all island super finals at the National Stadium from May 20 to 22.
Corinaldi Primary of St. James are defending champions.
Naggo Head were crowned new champions of the Central region at GC Foster College on Wednesday and walked away with the $350,000 top prize.
Dethroned champions Spanish Town finished second, Greater Portmore was third, St. John’s Primary were fourth while Southborough rounded out the top five.
The top eight teams have advanced to the grand finale at the National Stadium .
Lyssons emerged champions in the East last week.
