WI Championship: Hurricanes Chasing Scorpion’s First Inning’s 320

The Leeward Islands Hurricanes reached 40 for 2 replying to 320 made by the Jamaica Scorpions on day-two of the West Indies four-day Championships, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

Keacy Carty, 7, and Karima Gore, 6, are the not out batsmen.

The Scorpions added 14 to their overnight score of 306 for 9 before they were dismissed.

John Campbell made 126, Carlos Brown 22, Kirk McKenzie 33 and Brad Barnes 63 not out.

Jeremiah Louis and Rahkeem Cornwall each took three wickets.

Meanwhile, over at the Providence stadium, the Combined Campuses and Colleges reached 318 for 8 when rain interrupt play.

Kyle Corbin is not out on 81, while Johann Jeremiah made 84, Shaqkere Parris, 56, and Demario Richards, 40.

At Arnos Vale, the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force were closing in on first innings points over the Windward Islands Volcanoes.

At sports time, the Red Force reached 157 for 1 replying to the Volcanoes’ 166 all out.

Cephas Cooper is not out 77 and West Indies player Amir Jangoo on 63, they have so far put on 152 for the second wicket.
