Wi late but wi reach! That was the retort from Opposition Spokesman, Damion Crawford, to a question about the absence of crucial costings from the budget proposals outlined by the Opposition in the recent budget debate.
The question was put to opposition leader, Mark Golding, by Nationwide’s Business Reporter, Chevon Campbell.
Crawford’s intervention came before Golding could begin his answer.
The People’s National Party was defending its budget proposals on Wednesday at a press conference held at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
It followed the stinging criticism from Finance Minister Fayval Williams that the cost of the opposition’s proposals would crash the economy in a similar way to the FINSAC debacle of the 1990s.
Mark Golding insists it was unnecessary to include costings in his budget presentation.
