Williams targets Commonwealth spot after shattering record in the USA

National junior discus record holder Cedricka Williams says she is eagerly anticipating a return to Jamaica as she targets a strong showing at the JAAA National Championships and a place on the country’s team for the Commonwealth Games. Williams, a former standout at Holmwood Technical High School, has been in impressive form this season. She recently set a new school record at the University of Tennessee with a throw of 60.57m, breaking the previous mark of 60.56m that had stood for nearly 50 years.
