The West Indies cricket team arrived in Pakistan to fine tune preparation for a two-match Test series.
The team touched down in Islamabad on Monday, from Dubai for their first test series in Pakistan in 18 years.
The Caribbean team will kick off their preparations with a three-day practice match against the Pakistan Shaheens, starting on Friday.
Before the three day warm-up game the West Indies will engage in two days of intensive training on Wednesday and Thursday.
The West Indies and Pakistan last played in a test series in Pakistan in 2006, though West Indies visited for limited-overs matches on three occasions since 2018.
Pakistan lead the head-to-head record test meetings with West Indies with 21 wins in their 54 games, West Indies have 18 wins while 15 matches have ended in draws.
The last Test series between the two teams took place in 2021 in the Caribbean, which concluded in a 1-1 draw.
The first test of the series will begin on January 17 and the second 8 days later, both games in Multan.
