The West Indies Players’ Association, WIPA, celebrates the Windies on their historic victory over Pakistan in Pakistan, their first Test victory in Pakistan since 1990 – over 34 years.
West Indies secured victory in the second Test of the two-Test series by 120 runs on the third day’s play, to tie the series 1-1.
The West Indies squad, still mainly young and inexperienced, had useful contributions from several players in very tough conditions to secure the win.
WIPA President and CEO, Wavell Hinds, said “These young players continue to perform well in very challenging circumstances. We commend coach Andre Coley, captain Kraigg Brathwaite and the entire squad for their accomplishments, and wish them continued success.”
