The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and the Reggae Boyz have received another boost in their Road to 2026 World Cup Qualification campaign as they have strengthened their partnership with the Wisynco Group Limited.

In a press release, on Thursday, the JFF announced the partnership, to be delivered through the consumer brands WATA, Powerade and Tru Shake, will be geared towards the Boyz’s 2026 World Cup qualification campaign.

The partnership will also reaffirm their support for the Reggae Girlz programme. The Girlz are also preparing their bid for a third-straight appearance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2027.

JFF president Michael Ricketts welcomed the partnership, recognising the support as integral to the federation’s goals.

“I must express my deepest appreciation to Wisynco for renewing a partnership that I am confident will last for decades,” Ricketts said.

“We also warmly welcome Tru Shake onboard. This is a tremendous opportunity; Mexico, the USA, and Canada have automatically qualified, and now our Reggae Boyz must position themselves to join them at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”

Erin Mitchell, head of consumer marketing at Wisynco, also spoke proudly of the new partnership.

He explained that the sponsorship reflects Wisynco’s belief in the talent readily available in Jamaica if given the resources to succeed.

“At Wisynco, we recognise the unifying power of football and its ability to uplift the nation,” he said.

“We are proud to stand with the Reggae Boyz on their journey to the FIFA World Cup in 2026 and to continue our unwavering support of the Reggae Girlz as they set their sights on 2027. Our sponsorship reflects our long-standing belief in Jamaican sport and the talent it cultivates.”

He continued, “This renewed sponsorship reflects Wisynco’s continued commitment to building Jamaica’s sporting legacy. Through three of our beverage brands - WATA, Powerade, and Tru Shake - our goal is to help fuel the performance and progress of our national teams.”

The Reggae Boyz will continue second-round action of the World Cup qualifiers with an away date against the British Virgin Islands on June 7 before hosting Guatemala at the National Stadium on June 10.
