Woman, 80, robbed of cash in Cunupia

Police are investigating the theft of a quantity of cash from an elderly woman early morning on Saturday morning in Cunupia.
Police said the 80-year-old woman locked the doors and windows of her Welcome Road, home and went to bed on Friday night.
Hours later she was awoken to a commotion inside her house and on checking saw a stranger who announced a robbery.
The man stole US $500 and UK £200 before ordering the woman to open a door for him, which allowed him to escape.
Cunupia police were called in and found that the bandit entered the house by opening a window.
