The Woodbrook Fellowship Friendly Society has recognised the academic achievement of one of its youngest members, Zariah Gormandy, who secured a place at Holy Name Convent, Port of Spain, after successfully completing the 2025 Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examination.
The presentation was held recently at the Society’s Woodford Street office, where Zariah received a cheque in support of her transition to secondary school. She was accompanied by her grandmother, Hazel Huggins, along with members of the organisation.
The Society has long encouraged its juvenile members to save consistently, with the promise of educational support. At the end of primary school, the organisation doubles each member’s contributions to help ease the move into secondary education. Upon completion of secondary school, members also benefit from a dollar-for-dollar match to assist with higher studies or other pursuits.
Officials said the initiative forms part of the Society’s mission to promote savings and provide tangible support for the educational advancement of young members.
The Society has extended congratulations to Zariah and expressed best wishes as she begins her secondary school journey.
