XLCR Crush St Jago to Win Grace Shield

Excelsior High School are champions of the ISSA/First Global Bank Grace Shield after easily brushing aside St. Jago close to the end of the three-day final at Sabina Park on Wednesday.

Set an improbable 473 to win, St. Jago were dismissed for 52, giving Excelsior victory by 420 runs.

Tamarie Redwood took five wickets, and captain Michael Clarke took three for Excelsior.

Excelsior had earlier in the day declared their second inning at 292 for 9.

Final scores were Excelsior 337 and 292 for 9 declared, St. Jago 157 and 52.
