Young Performer Khaylin Reynolds Dies After Collapsing on Stage

The life of Khaylin Reynolds, a young performer. was tragically cut short this weekend as she was taking part in a live performance in Copper Bank Village, Corozal District.  Reynolds had joined the hired band on stage for the event when the young woman collapsed.  Owner of the Youth Connection Band, Robert Checky Usher, recounted to us what he saw happened.

Robert Checky Usher, Owner, Youth Connection Band: “From my recollection I can remember her singing on stage. It’s a flat stage almost to the ground and she was dancing and having fun and then I saw her going to the dancehall where the persons were dancing. I guess her intention was to get them hyped up with the music and I just saw her stumble and she fell and then when I heard the persons there they were saying “let’s help. Give us way.” And then I told her common-law husband that was on the stage with us that she fell and he went there and they just kept doing the CPR, oxygen whatever they were doing and they called the ambulance, the ambulance reached and the paramedics they were doing what they usually do I guess what they are trained to do and then about fifteen minutes after that then they put her on the stretcher and they put her into the ambulance that took her to Corozal. That’s all my recollection and you know we ask everybody to please have prayers for her husband Daren Pennel and also her two kids and the musician family of Belize. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory.”
