“Congratulations to Africa” is Ziggy Marley’s message after nine African nations made history by advancing to the Round of 32 in the FIFA World Cup.
The son of reggae legend Bob Marley shared a message on Instagram highlighting the nine African countries, writing in part, “A significant achievement for African football.”
Ziggy ended the post by calling for the next FIFA World Cup to return to Africa.
South Africa was eliminated by Canada on Sunday.
The remaining African nations in the World Cup are Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and Senegal.
