Jockey Shane Ellis, seven-time winner of the Derby and defending champion, will be aboard the Gary Subratie-trained Sensational Soul.
According to Ellis, he’s fully confident of getting his eighth winner come Wednesday.
This bloodline isn’t strange to Ellis as he won the Derby back in 2019 aboard Sensational Soul’s half brother, Supreme Soul.”
Ellis says based on his morning workouts Sensational Soul looks prime for a solid performance.
