American Fined $6,000 for Cannabis Possession at PGIA

Celeste Ann Carr, 30, an American Driver, was slapped with a hefty fine of $6,000 for the importation of controlled drugs into Belize. Carr was busted with 35 grams of cannabis upon entering Belize at the Phillip Goldson International Airport yesterday. Airport Authorities found in her luggage 11 cylindrical tubes containing (34) pre-rolled cigarettes, wrapped in white & brown paper, all containing loose vegetable substances suspected to be marijuana.
