Kishane Thompson’s 9.77 seconds to win the men’s 100-metres final at the National Championships makes him the joint ninth fastest man over the distance.
The other other is Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala.
Thompson is also the fourth fastest Jamaican over 100-metres. Only Usain Bolt’s World record of 9.58, Yohan Blake 9.69 and Asafa Powell 9.72 as Jamaicans have gone faster.
