
Belize and Trinidad and Tobago have officially launched a three-day trade mission aimed at deepening economic cooperation, reducing trade barriers, and expanding market access across the Caribbean. The initiative, which began this morning, marks a renewed commitment to bolstering regional commerce under the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME). The mission commenced with the formal signing of a cooperative agreement between the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce (TTCIC). The agreement outlines collaborative efforts to facilitate trade, promote investment, and create new business opportunities between the two countries. The next phase of the trade mission will focus on direct business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking, organized by the BCCI. PUP Senator for government business, Christopher Coye explained that it is necessary with the two nations often doing trade together.
