Belize Athletic Association Hosts Workshop Promoting Leadership and Gender Equality in Sports

The United Nations reminds us that sport serves as a universal and celebratory platform to convey crucial messages and mobilize communities for leadership and gender equality. Yesterday, the Belize Athletic Association in collaboration with the National Sports Council held an on-line leadership workshop to cement these tenets.

The workshop was designed for teachers, police officers, coaches and community activists. LOVE NEWS attended the event and spoke with three of the participants.

16 participants; 15 women and one man attended the one-day event held at The Olympic House at the Marion Jones Stadium.
