Belize City Man Hospitalized After Stabbing on North Front Street

A 19-year-old Belize City man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed multiple times during an attack on North Front Street. Just before eight o’clock last night, police responded to reports of a stabbing at the corner of North Front Street and Angel Lane. When officers arrived, they learned that Nelson Gillett, a Belizean office assistant of Eve Street, had already been transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital by police. He had sustained several stab wounds to his body. Initial investigations indicate that Gillett was making a purchase at a nearby store when a dark-skinned man, identified as Steven Flowers, approached him and began stabbing him with a knife. Flowers then fled the scene through Angel Lane and escaped. Gillett remains at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in stable condition. Police are seeking Steven Flowers in connection with this incident.
