The Marley family recently made a stop in Johannesburg, South Africa, but it wasn’t all about the music. Sara Marley, daughter of Rohan Marley and Lauryn Hill, spent the day spreading joy and giving back to the community. She visited McBain Charles Primary School, where she donated school supplies and shoes to 1st and 2nd-grade classes.
An update shared on the official page of Bob Marley says the visit was a blast for the students, who got to read, dance, and sing with Sara. The post said Sara left the school feeling inspired with plans to start her own non-profit organization to spread more positivity wherever she goes.
This visit was part of the family’s trip to South Africa, where they were set to headline the DStv Delicious Festival on September 21st. Lauryn Hill, along with Wyclef Jean, Ziggy Marley, and YG Marley, were among the performers at the festival, which celebrates music, food, and culture.
