BTIA and Cayo Town Council Partner to Launch Tourism Concierge Desk

The Belize Tourism Industry Association (BTIA) and the San Ignacio & Santa Elena Town Council have signed an agreement for the management and operation of a Concierge Desk at the Cayo Welcome Center. The agreement is for a 5-year partnership, aimed at enhancing visitor experiences and strengthening tourism services in the Cayo District. The Concierge Desk will offer several services, including travel assistance & tour referrals; providing visitor information; and promoting local businesses and cultural events. The BTIA says that the concierge desk will add to the association’s visitor information network, which extends across the country. Efren Perez, President of the BTIA, said that the collaboration with the town council will allow greater synergy with planning and promoting events.

 Perez signed the agreement on behalf of the BTIA while Mayor Earl Trapp signed on behalf of the council.
