Cham Releases Fourth Studio Album Sherlock, Showcasing Grit and Growth — Announces Summer Tour Dates

Grammy-nominated dancehall star Baby Cham, widely known simply as Cham, has made a triumphant return with the release of his long-awaited fourth studio album Sherlock—and he’s hitting the road just in time for summer. The renowned deejay, revered for his potent lyrics and unmistakable flow, unveiled the eight-track project on Friday, July 25 via his Lawless Army Music imprint, offering fans a bold new chapter in his storied career. With North American tour dates and an appearance on the prestigious Welcome to Jamrock Cruise, Cham is back in full force and ready to take his message global.

Leading the charge is the gritty anthem “Hustling In My Blood,” a collaboration with reggae heavyweights Stephen Marley and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley that’s already gaining serious traction online. The single’s music video has surpassed 252,000 views on YouTube in just two weeks, setting the tone for an album Cham describes as deeply personal and grounded in his roots. “The cover is inspired by the community I grew up in for most of my life – Duhaney Park, Kingston 20,” Cham shared in a social media post. “I wanted people to see the streets that made Baby Cham… I walked the same roads as them, but didn’t succumb to them. They can make it also.”

Sherlock plays like a lyrical memoir, with Cham embracing his duality as both a hardened street storyteller and a global music icon. Tracks like “Maddest Life” and “Lamborghini Boy” reflect the reckless glamour and ambition of his journey, while “Starlight” and “Hall of Fame” deliver more introspective moments. “Miss Seductress” and the club anthem “What’s Poppin” inject a dose of signature dancehall bravado, proving Cham hasn’t lost his edge even after two decades in the game.

The project’s sonic landscape is shaped by a powerhouse lineup of producers including The FaNaTiX, CopperShaun, DJ Karim, and Cham himself. Whether it’s the raw intensity of the title track or the radio-ready appeal of “What’s Poppin,” Sherlock underscores Cham’s gift for blending authenticity with mass appeal. It’s a tight, focused body of work that speaks directly to fans who have followed his rise from Kingston’s inner-city streets to international acclaim.

Cham’s upcoming live shows—from Baltimore and Bermuda to Toronto and Riviera Beach—promise to deliver the same energy and storytelling found on Sherlock. As he joins the Marleys for select Traffic Jam Tour dates and boards the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise, Cham is not just celebrating an album release—he’s reclaiming his place as one of dancehall’s most enduring voices.
