A Press Release from the Government of Belize states two recommendations from the report which have been accepted by the cabinet.
One. “The Recommendation moving forward is that an Independent investigation be conducted in relation to this incident.”
Two. “ That none of the police officers assigned to this Inquiry be allowed to make any statement to the media or within the public domain, in order to safeguard the integrity of the said inquiry in the event that the matter is addressed in a court of law.”
Recently installed Commissioner of Police Dr. Richard Rosado was placed on a forty-five-day suspension by the Prime Minister on September 8, 2025.
