Nine time champions Brazil were held to a goalless draw by Costa Rica in their Group ‘D’ clash at the Copa America in California on Monday night.
The Brazilians dominated possession and came close to scoring on several occasion but just could not find the back of the net.
In the other Group ‘D’ game, played at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, Colombia defeated Paraguay 2-1, through goals from Daniel Muñoz and Jefferson Lerma.
The competition continues later on Tuesday with defending champions Argentina looking for a second straight victory when they face Chile at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
Canada and Peru will square off in the other Group ‘A’ game at the Children Mercey Park in Kansas City.
