In the meantime, defending champions Argentina beat Canada 2-0 at the Mercedez Benz Stadium in Atlanta in the opening game of the 2024 Copa America tournament.
Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez gave the reigning world champions the lead on 49 minutes, before Inter-Milan star Lautara Martinez made the points safe with two minutes to go.
The Copa America continues today with Peru facing Chile at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas.
