Entertainers send messages of hope as Hurricane Melissa nears Jamaica

As Hurricane Melissa, now a Category 5 system, is expected to make landfall later this evening, several entertainers are reaching out to Jamaicans with messages of hope and encouragement.

Mavado, Popcaan, Masicka, Queen Ifrica, Kranium, Cham, Christopher Martin, Nature Ellis, and Kabaka Pyramid have all shared words of unity and safety as the nation braces for impact.

Mavado urged citizens to look out for each other and stay safe, while Popcaan encouraged everyone to take the situation seriously and prepare ahead of time.

Masicka reminded fans that “Jamaica we solid,” closing with lyrics from Bob Marley’s “Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Alright.”

Queen Ifrica delivered a message with spiritual undertones, calling on Jamaicans to repent and stay connected to faith.
