Anthony Selassie later responded on Instagram by sharing a photo of himself with hashtags including “the devil is a liar.”
Musical Attack Promotions also issued an apology to fans. The message read in part: “We would like to express gratitude to all the people who tried to make our Reggae events a success but admit the good vibration the devil was in the midst with a great plan to destroy us from within. Creating a scenario of confusion and posting it on social media.”
In 2021, Reggae singer Jah got into hot water with the law after stabbing a Dutch concert promoter over unpaid fees. He was sentenced to six years in prison in the Netherlands after being acquitted of the more serious charge of attempted murder. Prosecutors appealed the decision, and his case is currently ongoing.
