Firefighters Battle Blaze at Handicraft Store in Caye Caulker

Firefighters in Caye Caulker were called out to Avenida Hicaco this afternoon to tackle a blaze. The fire broke out at a wooden bungalow building just after midday. Information is limited, but our newsroom did learn that the building that caught fire housed a handicraft store, which was next to a dive shop. While initial reports say that the fire is believed to be electrical, the National Fire Service told our newsroom that an investigation is still ongoing and that the preliminary information is still not available. We understand that the structure was a rental.
