Free Zone Businessman Ambushed in Hail of Bullets Near John Smith Roundabout

Free Zone businessman Nitin Buxani, the common law husband of the Prime Minister’s cousin and his driver, were waylaid and shot yesterday around 6 pm, at the bustling mile eight speedbump west of the John Smith roundabout. As many as 19 shots were discharged in public hitting both men in their bodies and riddling the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck in which they were travelling with 10 bullet holes to the windshield, four to the driver’s window and two to the rear passenger glass. Buxani’s driver drove to a private hospital in the city, where they were both treated and now listed as stable. The incident allegedly stems from a friction regarding the tobacco trade in the Corozal Free Zone that is reported to be heavily influenced by cartel figures.
