Former national senior football team head coach, Heimir Hallgrímsson, was paid US $40,000 per month to coach the team up to the time of his resignation.
Hallgrímsson initially signed on with the Jamaica Football Federation, JFF, for US $360,000 per year, plus housing and accommodation.
However, he was given a salary increase overtime, pushing the figure to US $40,000 a month or JM $6.2 million per month.
The contract also stated that Hallgrimmson is paid a percentage of monies earned from tournaments for which he qualified the team.
Hallgrímsson’s current deal with the Irish Federation in JM $35 million more per year than he was earning in Jamaica.
