Hangar Road in Belize City Reopens After Months of Closure

The popular Hangar Road that was locked off late august of this year, has now been reopened. The Hangar Road, an area in Belize City, that has been around for decades was blocked off for some months due to what residents say was ‘excessive loitering’ in the neighborhood, as it is a location where friends and couples would come to enjoy the seaside view among other recreational activities. There are many underlying speculations however as to why the area was barricaded. Reports say that some four affluent businessmen may stand to benefit from the sale of this location. Our newsroom has not been able to get an official confirmation on the prospective sale, but we are told that these four men who have houses in this area are in negotiations to buy the seafront thoroughfare. As of yesterday, the barricades have been removed, and the road has been reopened for public use. Love news will continue to follow this story as details become available.
