Captain of the West Indies women, Hayley Matthews, will return to Melbourne Renegades for Women’s Big Bash League 2024-25 as the club secured her services as a pre-draft signing for a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old was a part of the team in the previous season as well but she failed to go big with the bat scoring just 255 runs from 14 innings.
With the ball, the off-spinner picked 14 wickets from as many games.
Renegades also didn’t have a memorable last season as they won just two matches out of 14 finishing on the bottom of the points table.
