Home of prominent defence attorney comes under gunfire

The Corozal home of well-known defence attorney Dr. Linden Jones came under gunfire over the weekend. Jones, who is currently working on the high-profile Bladen 12 drug plane trial, says he had not been at the house for two weeks and just went back on Sunday. He got home around 5 in the evening, and when he left to go to the store around 5:30, there was a bullet hole in the side of the house. Jones says this is not the first attempt to intimidate him. We note that Jones is the attorney representing former Police Corporal Elmer Nah in his triple murder trial. During one of Nah’s court hearings back in May, Jones admitted in open court that he had received death threats. Police are investigating.
