Jamaican born female Jockey, Samantha Fletcher, got off the mark at the Century Mile race track in Canada, aboard a chance ride, “Behind The Curtain” for trainer Cheryl Humbke, on Sunday.
“Behind The Curtain” under Fletcher’s guidance, was successful in the sixth race, a six-furlong call on the dirt.
Fletcher had to battle hard to get her first win against countryman Dane Nelson aboard Bratton.
Fletcher later went one better when she completed a double in the eigth race.
In another hard-fought race, Fletcher prevailed on the Cheryl Humbke-conditioned Classy Rose.
