St. Jude’s Primary standout, Jayhanna Brisco, says she’s hoping to follow in the footsteps of her heroes Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Sherica Jackson and Usain Bolt.
Young Brisco posted the fastest time in the Class-1 girls’ 100-metres series, 13.55 seconds at the Junior Sprint Fest at Jamaica College on the weekend.
She’ll be contesting the 100, 200 and 4-by-100 metres at the National Primary Championships now underway at the National Stadium.
Brisco, who’ll be graduating from St. Jude’s this year, hopes to enroll at Wolmer’s, the alma mater of Fraser-Pryce.
Brisco says she’s motivated by a higher power.
