Man Hospitalized After Early Morning Stabbing in Belize City

A man is currently recovering at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after being stabbed this morning on Raccoon Street Extension in Belize City.  Police were alerted to the incident just before four o’clock this morning. When officers from the Crimes Investigation Branch arrived on the scene, they found a Hispanic male lying on the side of the street, bleeding heavily. The man was immediately transported to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Authorities have since identified the victim as 34-year-old Yuri Keith Escalante, a Belizean laborer. Details surrounding the stabbing are limited at this time.
