The Manchester Chamber of Commerce is hopeful the police will continue to effectively clamp down on crime in the parish.
President of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, Omar Fennell, says there’s hope the police can build on recent gains made.
Fennell says based on the previous crime surge that resulted in the imposition of curfews, businesses had to adjust their operations to facilitate transportation of workers as well as make changes to opening hours.
He says the efforts by the police are helping to reduce the high level of fear among some residents.
Meanwhile, Fennell wants the police to improve their engagement with residents in the parish.
