Defending champions Manchester Spurs and Kingston Hummingbirds were winners in the final set of matches in the preliminary round of the Red Stripe Flavours Netball Jamaica Elite League at the Stadium courts, last night.
The Spurs secured their 7th win of the season beating St. Catherine Racers 43-35.
Captain Gezelle Allison led the scoring with 39-points, while Shantal Slater was named the Powerade Power Play shooter of the match with 14 from 15 attempts.
Meanwhile, the Hummingbirds stopped the St. Ann Orchids 51-43.
Simone Gordon scored 40 points.
