Captain Hayley Matthews has been ruled out of the final game in the three match ODI series between West Indies women and their Sri Lankan counterparts in Hambantota starting at 11.30 tonight Jamaica time.
Matthews is said to be suffering from an illness and will be monitored by the Cricket West Indies medical team, with a view to get her back to full health ahead of the start of the T20 series.
Matthews also missed the second game and no reason was posited for her absence.
Sri Lanka will go into tonight’s game with an unassailable 2-nil lead and will aim to close with a sweep.
