For the very first time, the Belize National Teachers’ Union (BNTU) deployed a 15-member delegation to the Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT) Biennial Conference in St. Maarten. The initiative, according to the BNTU’s leadership, marks a significant step in the union’s commitment to professional development and capacity building. The opportunity was extended to BNTU branch leaders and members, with interested individuals agreeing to cover 95% of their own expenses, including flights and accommodation. This arrangement allowed a dedicated group of financial members to join the President on this landmark trip. The delegation is set to engage in a variety of sessions aimed at fostering personal growth and professional development. By investing in its members, the BNTU is not only enhancing their skills but also actively cultivating a new generation of leaders for the organization.
