No Charges Yet in Crash that Killed Officer Arcenio Cus

It has now been 8 days since Police Constable Arcenio Cus lost his life in a deadly road traffic incident, and still, no formal charges have been brought against the man behind the wheel, DJ and businessman Kris Rosado. Rosado turned himself in shortly after the crash, which occurred on the Philip Goldson Highway on the night of July 29. The impact killed Officer Cus, who was reportedly heading home after a shift. Rosado was released with a Notice of Intended Prosecution while investigators continue their work. Love News has confirmed that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has issued specific directives to the lead investigator. These include critical follow-ups such as a complete forensic analysis of the vehicles involved, the collection of additional witness statements, and clarification on whether Rosado failed to render aid or report the crash immediately. Only once those conditions are satisfied will the DPP decide whether to proceed with formal charges. Among the possible offenses under consideration are manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, and failing to stop and render assistance at the scene of an accident.  We will keep following this story.
