Orange Walk Mourns Mother and Children Killed in Tragic Arson Attack

Funeral services were held this morning at Betel Evangelical Church in Orange Walk Town for three members of the Briceno Magana family. They are: Angelita Briceno, 34, her 16-year-old daughter, Shadia Magana, and six-year-old son Tishann Godoy. 

On Monday, Angelita Briceno and her son, Tishann perished in an early morning fire set by her ex-common-law husband, Francis Godoy. HER 16-YEAR -OLD DAUGHTER Shadia Magana and current common-law-husband Miguel Novelo were also asleep when Godoy forcibly entered the house, doused them with gasoline and set the place on fire. Shadia and Novelo were severely burnt. She died on Wednesday from the first and second degree burns she received to 80% of her body and face while Novelo is being treated. The perpetrator died yesterday.
