Over 200 Belize City Students Receive Backpacks Through “Do The Right Thing Pedestrian Crossing School Safety Summer Program”

Over 200 school children from Belize City received backpacks today through the Do The Right Thing Pedestrian Crossing School Safety Summer Program. The program, hosted by community activists Philip “Fawda” Henry, has been running since July, and the bags were distributed today as the participants prepare to head back to school. The bags were sourced through a collaboration with Quick Stop Finance Center. Henry told Love News that his aim through initiatives and the bag drive is to support at-risk youth and single mothers. Quick Stop’s Marketing Lead, Marina Pacheco, noted that the company donated the bags as a means of giving back to the community.
