Peyrefitte Charged With Murder of Former Gang Boss Kenneth “Big Tom” Flowers

Fifty-year-old Sidney Peyrefitte Jr. a tour guide of Exotic Shore Excursion was this afternoon arraigned on a single charge of murder in court #6 before Magistrate Mannon Dennison. He was escorted to court under heavy security with a mobile full of armed G13 officers followed by the police Isuzu D-MAX with armed officers in which he was riding. Peyrefitte was unrepresented at his arraignment and because of the nature of the offence, no plea was taken, bail was denied, and he was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until December 11 when he will have his first day in court.

 Before leaving the court to spend his first night in the “big house” Peyrefitte asked the magistrate (quote) “is there any precaution that can be taken because of the many threats on my life?… is there any special area of the prison I can go?” (end quote).  Dennison told him that there is a place he can be housed and that he will ensure to forward his concerns to the Belize Central Prison. Dennison also added that with respect to Peyrefitte’s other family members they will have to seek assistance from police regarding the alleged threats.

Police say that sometime around 4:35pm on Monday, Kenneth Flowers better known as “Big Tom”. former BAKA Town Gang Boss was driving at the corner of Mopan and Mahogany Streets in Belize City when Peyrefitte fired several shots at him. He continued driving into Sittee Street where he crashed into another vehicle. He exited his vehicle and later collapsed. Flowers was pronounced dead at the KHMH. It is alleged that the shooting was because Flowers was having an affair with Peyrefitte’s girlfriend. Kenneth Flowers known as “Big Tom” died six days shy of his 48th birthday.
