Colombian sensations Piso 21 and Maluma “Me Llamas (Remix)” officially surpasses one billion YouTube views.
It is Maluma’s eleventh billion-views song and Piso 21’s second.
Originally released on December 2, 2016, under Warner Music Mexico, the remix revitalized Piso 21’s single “Me Llamas,” transforming it into a global success. Featuring Maluma’s suave vocals and signature urban flair, the track fused romantic Latin pop melodies with reggaetón rhythms, creating one of the decade’s most enduring Latin hits.
The music video, directed by David Bohórquez, premiered on Piso 21’s official YouTube channel and quickly gained traction across Spanish-speaking countries. Nearly nine years later, it continues to attract daily streams from fans worldwide — crossing the 1 billion-view threshold in October 2025.
A LATIN POP MILESTONE
“Me Llamas (Remix)” not only became a chart success across Latin America and Spain, but it also achieved multiple certifications, including 6× Platinum (Latin) in the United States, Diamond + 4× Platinum in Mexico, and 3× Platinum in Spain, according to industry bodies such as RIAA and PROMUSICAE.
The song peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart, No. 7 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, and No. 32 on Hot Latin Songs, establishing both Piso 21 and Maluma as forces in the global Latin scene.
STILL RINGING EIGHT YEARS LATER
Nearly a decade after its release, “Me Llamas (Remix)” continues to resonate with fans thanks to its romantic lyrics, infectious hook, and the chemistry between Piso 21’s harmonies and Maluma’s delivery. The song has also been featured in major Latin TV soundtracks like La Ley del Corazón, helping it maintain cultural relevance.
