As we said, Commissioner of Police Richard Rosado GOT his job back after being put on administrative leave by Prime Minister Briceno for 45 days. Yesterday, Assistant Commissioner of Police Suzette Anderson handed over a Police Inquiry Report to the Prime Minister regarding allegations of Law enforcement officers and the Government on the alleged kidnapping and extrajudicial extradition of Ryan Joseph Budna to Guatemala.
A Press Release from the Government of Belize cites two recommendations from the report which have been accepted by the cabinet.
One. “The Recommendation moving forward is that an Independent investigation be conducted in relation to this incident.”
Two. “That none of the police officers assigned to this Inquiry be allowed to make any statement to the media or within the public domain, in order to safeguard the integrity of the said inquiry in the event that the matter is addressed in a court of law.”
Today LOVE News took its camera to the streets to hear how people feel about Rosado’s back as the police chief.
Compol Richard Rosado is the first Police chief in recent memory to be put on administrative leave.
