Police Continue Probe Into Broad Daylight Killing of Alleged Gang Figure Tyrone Meighan

Commissioner of Police Dr. Richard Rosado confirmed that investigators are still working diligently to close lingering gaps in the case surrounding the killing of Tyrone “Debo” Meighan. Meighan, a 31-year-old alleged underworld figure and member of the Banak Street faction of the Ghost Town Crips, was fatally shot in broad daylight on Emancipation Day, Friday, August 1.  At the scene, investigators recovered 40-caliber shell casings and are actively pursuing the firearm used in the attack but as for who the perpetrators are – that remains unknown.

Dr. Richard Rosado, Commissioner of Police: “The investigators are still on the ground trying to see how they can tie up the loose ends and see how they can bring the perpetrator to justice.”

While speculation in some quarters suggests revenge may have motivated the killing, police have not confirmed any link between Meighan’s death and other recent criminal incidents in the area.
